Mesa Mixta is a community designed to talk about fatness from a lens of affective responsibility and fight against fatphobia. It is created by Edi (@edilio.de.amor) a queer latinx tattoo artist. Edi invited me to be part of MM’s first cycle and to illustrate each of the session's topics as we went along. It falls short to say Mesa Mixta healed a part of me, I feel lucky to have drawings that remind me of the process, conversations and amazing people I met.
